Samantha Mohr

Mohr was a UGA student. She took part in her first pageant after being recommended by a close friend. She won Miss Columbus 1985. Mohr then was eligible to take part in The Miss Georgia pageant, which began in June. Mohr took home The title Miss Georgia 1985, on Saturday 22 June 1985. More than $3500 was awarded to Mohr as scholarship money and other prizes. Mohr was Miss Georgia and also made appearances in public throughout Georgia as part of her duty. Mohr was Georgia's official at the Miss America 1986 pageant in Atlantic City, New Jersey during September of 1985. Computer-generated models successfully predicated that Susan Akin would be named Miss America, Mohr's odds were calculated at 22: one. Mohr did not make the top 10 list of candidates for the Miss America crown. Mohr was Miss Georgia for a total of ten years.
